Well done to Wolfe Tones Girls under 12’s who recorded their first league win of the season. Taking control of the game from the very start and never letting up. They continued to get stronger as the game went on with a resolute hard working defence being complimented by a ruthless attacking front six who took their chances when they came. Some fine finishing and teamwork meant that they won comfortably on a score line of 6-6 to 0-2 against Mattock Rangers.
Credit must be given also to the Mattock Girls who continued to play sportingly despite the score line, something the Tones girls can relate too.
The five young ladies on loan from St Nicholas, all played there part and registered a first EVER win in competition in the LGFA for any girls registered for St Nicholas GFC. They are blazing a trail for all young ladies in St Nicholas to aspire too.
