St Nicholas 1-13 Dunleer/Finnbarrs 2-11

The Nicks good start to the season came to an end tonight at the hands of the visitors. The Nicks conceded two early goals before they registered a score, but Fionn, Paudi, Adam and Caomhainn got the scoreboard moving and only trailed by a point at the break.

It was a strange night for all the possession the Nicks had they didn't convert it on the scoreboard. It is a result that will drive on this group because they will know this was a game they should have won. Injuries to Paudi, Sean and Chuckie didn't help our cause. Tadgh Martin was our most effective player.

Keep the heads up and use this defeat in a positive way, next up the Newtown Blues.
