St Nicholas 8.16 Young Irelanders 1.03.
The Nicks U16 got there Cship back on track last night with a very dominant performance in Jimmy Pentony Park. Aided by the wind in the first half county underage players Padraic Downey, Fionn Meagher, Tadgh Martin drove the team forward scoring at will. The pleasing performance last night came from a very strong team effort Adam Rooney, Josh Hoey, Alan Donnelly,Matt Oginawi and Ethan Kelly were unlplayable, contributing to an all round team performance.
Keane Reynolds replaced the injured Conor Dyas and immediately chipped in with a goal and a point. Injuries to Shahainn, Alex, Ciaran meant the team were tight on numbers and shows the strength in depth this squad is starting to develop. Sean White was back to his best last night and Harry Ryan in nets gave a cool performance controlling play from the back.
The last player to be mentioned is Camhainn who at 13 years old is an exceptional talent who plays well beyond his years the result means. We are still alive in the Cship and the season is back on track well done everyone.
