Goals late in both halves were the difference for Annaghminion on Tuesday evening. The nicks started well with some good possession in the first half and the accurate boot of Alex Reilly had them in a lead coming up to the break. A late penalty had the home team going in one up and St.Nicholas left to rue some missed opportunities.

Rovers never surrendered their lead throughout the second half. Reilly kept the scoreboard moving from dead balls but the visitors couldn't reduce the deficit. A late goal extended rovers' lead at the end.
