Mitchells 3-13 v 2-6 Nicks
HT 1-4 v 0-4

Pairc Sean on Friday hosted an entertaining division three clash with the home side running out deserved winners. The Nicks were on the back foot early losing Derek Kierans and captain Brian Carter to injury. The Mitchells were dominating possession and went into a 3 to 1 lead. St. Nicholas got themselves back in contention with points from Eddie Carr and Jason O’Boyle but a goal for the home team was the difference at the break.

A second goal early in the second half set the nicks back again. Playing against a strong breeze and determined Mitchells defence, St.Nicholas were unable to bridge the gap, points from Phillip Kirwan and a Sam Reilly goal was all they could show for their endeavour. An accurate forwards line and late goal gave the John Mitchells a well deserved win.
