Charlie Bird in Pentony Park.

Drogheda Dolls and everyone involved with St Nicholas GFC were delighted to host Charlie Bird in Pentony Park this morning.

Charlie was welcomed by the boys and girls of St Pauls NS, many of whom are Nicks players, fresh from their confirmation.

The students held signs of support designed with the help of their teachers to show Charlie that Drogheda is with you before walking a lap of the pitch with him.

In the clubhouse Natalie from the Drogheda Dolls and our own Felix Hackett presented Charlie with a cheque for €1,250 towards his campaign and Charlie himself got a St Nicholas GFC mug to remember his visit.
