Dowdallshill left Pentony park on Saturday eveningfully deserving their win against a wasteful Nicks team. The home team dominated possession throughout the game but the combination of disciplined defending and accurate shooting from the visitors left St.Nicholas frustrated. Dowdallshill raced into a 4-1 lead, two frees and two from play. Sam Reilly with the Nicks reply. Brian Carter and a Lee Kavanagh free drew the Nicks close but a late break away goal had the Hill up by five at the break.
St. Nicholas were better in the second half but some wayward shooting kept Dowdallshill in the lead. The impressive Hayden Quinn added three from play along with Con Sheehan, Caeban Housidari and Johnny Cater but is wasn’t enough in the end.
