Nicks 2-8 v Seans 1-10

Ht 1-3 v 0-6

The Nicks and the Seans played out a thriller on a wet Tuesday evening in Jimmy Pentony Park. It was the home side who ultimately won out with a Sam Reilly point in injury time. Both teams kept it tight in the first half. A Paudi Downey free and two from Sam Reilly put the nicks in the scoreboard. Reilly then hit the back of the net midway through the half. The McDermotts fought back with two frees to leave it all square at the break.

An early goal had the Seans in the lead into the second half but Downey's free-taking was keeping St. Nicholas in the game. With five minutes left the visitors were four up. A goal from Reilly and another Downey free had it all square heading into injury time. As the clock tickled into the red it was the impressive Reilly who won it for the Nicks in injury time.
